Hilik Y. Elmaleh

Hilik Elmaleh attended the University of Warwick Law School in the United Kingdom from 1990 to 1993. From 1993 to 1994, he attended Ottawa University Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997 after articling at Sommers & Roth.
Mr. Elmaleh practices in the area of civil litigation, with a particular focus on medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. He has appeared successfully before all levels of court in Ontario. He is a member of The Law Society of Ontario, The Canadian Bar Association, The American Association for Justice, The Medical Legal Society of Toronto and The Toronto Lawyers Association.
He has lectured at continuing education conferences, educating professionals in the area of obstetrical malpractice. He has been a guest lecturer at Osgoode Hall Law School and is a contributor to the Advocates’ Quarterly journal.
For his precedent-setting advocacy on behalf of his clients, including extensive medical malpractice trial experience, Mr. Elmaleh is recognized across Canada as a leader in medical negligence and obstetrical negligence litigation. He is often asked to consult on complex medical-legal matters by other well-known medical malpractice lawyers.
